Atmosphere-To All My Friends, Blood Makes The Blade Holy: The Atmosphere EPs

Apparently Atmosphere live in the studio. Here are they are again with yet another project; To All My Friends, Blood Makes The Blade Holy: The Atmosphere EPs, is just what it suggests, two EPs packaged together on one CD. It's all new music displaying growth in the sound and a heavy dose of the descriptive stories and personal connections that have long defined the lyrics.

It's impressive that hundreds of songs later Slug is still able to come up with original story-lines that have creative twists as well as inventive word-play and untapped rhyme schemes. Actually, later tonight I'm heading over to the Atmosphere rehearsal space to sit down with Slug to discuss his writing process, dig deeper into the song writing on the latest release, and film them preparing for the "To All My Friends" Tour.

That interview will launch on the blog next week as the debut of a new on-going Video Show feature called "Microphone Mathematics"....

In the meantime, check out the details for the "To All My Friends Tour" and if the tour isn't coming to your town you can pick up the CD a Fifth Element:
